Evaluation For Studio

Updated: Mar 24, 2022

Working in the Studio has been awesome as I have had the chance to come out of my shell and work independently, I've enjoyed shooting in the studio as I was able to change the camera settings and I was in control of the lighting in the studio.

What Went Well: Well with this assignment I think I learnt how to work under pressure and I learnt that I should always put myself and my work first as putting others first can affect your way of working. I would like to thank my Photography Tutor and my support system as they made me realise what I was doing was wrong.

Even Better If: I would have liked to have more time in the studio to experiment with different lighting techniques and I would have loved to explore different elements of photography. I would also focus on the background as well as the foreground and would remember to check and to include all composition techniques such as the rule of thirds and long exposure photography.

Peer Feedback: Your write-ups for the task are good, but it is very tedious to go back and forth between blogs, especially since they are very short. Though you talked about the planning and process of the shoots, you didn't show any planning or process (i.e. mood boards and contact sheets); it was hard to visualise what you were discussing.

Overall, I think you could have pushed more with the product photography, like maybe using different lighting techniques and showing varity. My favourite images are the portrait photos. The model looks comfortable, and they are dramatic but flattering.
