Gordan Parks
Gordon Parks was a very successful and fantastic photographer, He was very well known to take portraits of segregated parts of america and the civil rights movement. I chose to research him as he links very well to my photography project i am going to do, I hope my project inspires other photographers to create a project and urge them to make projects like Gordon Parks. Park's photography were the most effective documents of the era. In several cases, as in that of Flavio Da Silvia, they moved people to action and changed lives Gordon Parks was the first African/American to feature on Life and Vogue magazine covers, he was known for his photography work but also worked as a filmmaker some examples of his films are The Learning Tree and the most famous film Shaft.

Muhammad Ali was the most resented person because he converted to Islam and because he joined The Nation Of Islam which was a religious group who used to give motivational speeches about how you should support the campaign. I like this image because the person is looking directly at the camera which is normally known as a active framing and has a composition of repetition of the same image. I don't like this image as it gives one religion more power than the other and it is very anti white people which might show that black and Asian people looked up to Muhammad Ali as a hero but others hated him

These boys are showing a symbol of equality and has composition of leading lines and triangles. It also is ironic that a white boy and a black boy are sitting next to each other as during that time they would never listen never mind look at each other and the way they are both holding each other's hand as they are praying together as they both want the issue of segregation to end and for both of their races to be equal. The impression on the boys faces is they are focused and engrossed in what they are doing.
