Vivian Maier
Vivian Maier was an American street photographer born in New York City. Although she was born in USA she spent most of her time in France. She returned to the US in 1951 where she had a job of a nanny and care giver for the rest of her life. In her spare time she had begun to venture into the art of photography. Persistently taking photos over the five decades, she would ultimately leave over 100,000 negatives, most of the images were shot in Chicago and New York City. Vivian would further indulge in her passionate devotion to documenting the world around her through homemade films, recordings and collections, assembling one of the most intriguing windows into American Life in the second half of the twentieth century.

What I like about her Images- I find her work enchanting as she just included children and normally with children you cant show their pictures without the parents permission. But I also like the tones and filters she uses. Most of her photography work is in monochrome. Monochrome is when you only use black, white or grey to take an image and most of my work is in colour but i also enjoy taking photographs in black and white.

What I don't like about her Images- I don’t like all her images are in the filter Monochrome as I like shooting in monochrome but don't shoot in monochrome all the time as it is very time consuming changing the filter and I prefer to shoot in colour as I am a portrait photographer, I enjoy taking images in colour more than black and white as the colour of an image brings more symbolic references then a colour in black and white.
