Working on Photoshop

Evaluation

I have done a transcription of Paul Catherall's work and I worked in way that's effective for me. First I researched and found an image off the internet then I printed the image. After that, I cut round the edges of the image- this was an alternative way due to my dexterity problem as I found it difficult using the lasso tool on Adobe Photoshop as I couldn't control to keep a steady hand while using the lasso tool as well as the polygonal lasso tool. So I managed to achieve the same result by using a different method a much more easier way. This method was sourced by using different coloured A4 paper and a image of pop art colours. However this could have been done much easier if I had an iPad which could help me keep a steady hand and I could annotate my work and present my work on there instead of struggling on the computer with the mouse.

In this image I used a dark pink coloured paper to make the background stand out and to make the colours in the image show up.

In this image I used a soft pink piece of coloured paper to make the image of the statue look more pronounced giving it a 3D effect.

A green coloured paper was used in this image to embolden the statue making it seem as though you could physically remove it from the picture.

A variety of colours were used for this image as I wanted to be more experimental and see what effect these bold colours would have on the statue. This actually made it look more dramatic and further brought out an even greater degree of vibrancy
