Natural Landscapes

Updated: Mar 28, 2022

A natural landscape is a part of Earth's surface that can be viewed at one time from one place. It consists of the geographic features that mark of a particular view. Natural landscapes are normally known as mountains, rivers and fields. Photographing in these places have hazards which will be explained in my risk assessment. Landscapes have a factor of making somebody feel an emotion towards a particular scene. Moreover, natural landscapes have a way of seeking attention from the viewer as photographers try to get viewers to question what's going on in the image and ask them questions such as what can you see, what can you hear, who can you see, what can you smell, can you feel something and why are you there. for example with this photo I've taken I would ask the viewer why are you at a lake? has something happened to you? Where are you?. I would also when photographing landscapes shoot in monochrome as the effect of monochrome provides more of a mysterious and spooky outcome as it's a river so what could have happened that you were found at an river...

Ansel Adams was known as an America West landscape photographer. His most famous work as a photographer was ''Monolith, the Face of Half Dome'' This was the actually the first photo that caught the public's eye as it was captured on A Korona camera which was a very small but vintage camera and was of the first version of field cameras to be made in the United States. Adams captured his iconic photo of Half Dome in National Yosemite Park after a challenging hike. Adams was born on the 20th February 1902 and tragically died on the 22nd April 1984.
